Kathy Klein, Dental Hygienist
Kathy Klein founded Smilepet over 20 years ago, with one goal in mind - to help her animal friends and reduce the number of times they had to go under anesthesia for routine cleaning. She grew very proficient at handling dogs as a young adult, and was responsible for the health and well being of a world class show kennel in the Midwest. Kathy studied human dental hygiene 18 years ago, and used those skills along with her gift of communicating with animals, to create a less stressful way for your animal companions to maintain their oral health. She has provided her service to many small animal veterinary practices in Southern CA. Kathy is also an accomplished artist and dog trainer, showing both her art and her dogs to the highest level of competition. She lives in rural San Diego County with her husband Eric, and their two golden retrievers, two rescue cats, two Nigerian dwarf goats, and her beloved Arabian horse.
